I have a drawer full of abandoned pillows. Memory foam that was too hot, down that went flat, gel pillows that felt like sleeping on a water balloon. The Coop pillow ended my pillow-hopping saga because you literally customize the fill to your exact preference.
Inside the cover is a mix of gel-infused memory foam and microfiber fill. It comes slightly overstuffed, and Coop includes a bag to store the extra fill you remove. I pulled out about a third of the fill for my side-sleeping setup, and my husband kept his almost fully stuffed for back sleeping. Same pillow, two completely different feels.
The cover is bamboo-derived viscose rayon, which stays noticeably cooler than cotton pillowcases. It's also machine washable -- you just toss the whole pillow in. After six months of weekly washing, ours still looks and feels new.
The one caveat: there's a slight memory foam smell when you first open it. It aired out in about 48 hours for us, but if you're sensitive to smells, unwrap it in a ventilated room first.
